Houston Employment Immigration Attorney

Whether you are an immigrant looking to come to the United States for work, or an employer who wants to make sure you aren't breaking any laws by employing new immigrants, the Law Office of David A. Breston can help. Located in Houston, Texas, we are able to represent clients throughout the United States. Contact our law firm today for experienced, effective legal service.

Employment immigration law is complex, and the timelines are long. It only takes one mistake on an application and you may have to start the process all over from the beginning, or have your request for a labor certification rejected outright. By hiring a qualified lawyer to thoroughly review all of your documents and applications, you ensure a smoother process, and a greater likelihood of having your request approved.

Different Types of Labor Certification:

H Visas: A non-immigrant visa, H-Visas are available for immigrants who wish to live and work in the United States for a temporary period. The employer must file for the H Visa, and professional workers, nurses, trainees, and workers in "shortage occupations" are eligible.

TN Visas: As part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), TN Visas are similar to H Visas but are available only to Mexican and Canadian workers.

L Visas: The L Visa permits high level employees to transfer from a company outside the United States to one inside the United States, where their skills will be demonstrably essential.

E Visas: E Visas are open to investors and traders who are conducting essential business transactions or negotiations within the United States, or who wish to oversee a business or development in which they have invested a substantial amount of capital.
